Hello, Kakak Robiah !

See who is here this time ? Still remember who is she ?

Ya, she is our first kakak, Kakak Robiah who has been staying with us for 11 years. Recently, she was in KL for holiday and came to visit us on Monday. After 2 years back to Bandung, does she looks any different ?

Last November, Robiah was here too and brought her daughter along to visit us.
Look at her little princess, very pretty and cute, right !

Makan Makan Around Phuket .....

On our anniversary when we first arrived in Phuket, we went to a local Thai seafood restaurant opposite the hotel to have our late lunch. Thai food was real good. Sweet, sour, spicy, hmm..... very appetizing. We were staying at a very strategic location whereby it was only 5 minutes walk to the Walking Street at Patong Beach.

Phuket is as big as Singapore, getting around in Phuket will become more fun with a motorbike rental. The motorbikes are mostly new and powerful. Many tourists choose to rent motorbike as it is the cheapest transportation in Phuket as compared to taxi and tuk tuk.

With the motorbike, we found the best place to enjoy sun set along Patong Beach while you can have some local Thai hawker food for those who are daring. The food here was so cheap and really unbelievable.
We were enjoying the great view of sun set right beside the beach. The sun set was so great until we went back again on the 2nd day. See...... how beautiful was the sun set.
Patong is an ideal place to party and play. This is also the center of the hedonistic night life of discos and beer bars mixed in with up-scale restaurants and night spots. This beer bar was one of the most popular among all along walking street as you may be able to watch free "Simon Caberates" show.

15th Anniversary !

In conjunction with our 15th Anniversary on 3rd August 2008, we have specially arranged another honeymoon back to the same place we went 15 years ago, ie The Royal Paradise Hotel & Spa in Patong Beach, Phuket.

After 15 years, everything still looks the same. The only different is that they were already ISO 9001 certified !
The Royal Paradise Hotel, Phuket is one of the tallest hotel in Patong Beach. We were staying at the top floor, 23rd floor. This is the view of Patong Beach from our hotel room.

Like the scenery ? We will share with you more about the nice beaches in the subsequent posts. Stay tuned !

小妹姑姑 & Malaysian food

小妹姑姑 was very adventurous in trying all kinds of Malaysian food. We brought her to Indian Muslim Restaurant to try Tosai, Roti Canai Kosong, Roti Sardin, Roti Tisu, Roti Telur Bawang and our famous Teh Tarik. She really enjoyed all kinds of curry gravy which came together with the food.

We also went to Sri Petaling Pasar Malam 夜市 to try out other types of local food. See how she enjoyed the Otak-otak, Asam Laksa, 六味汤,Abang Balik, 曼煎糕,Char Kuey Teow, Keropok Lekur, Roti Bakar Bak Kua & etc. Wow, we were really big eater that night and ended up put on weight 1kg the next morning. That's the outcome being so " wai sek " lar !
