Macau is known as "The Las Vegas of the East" and is now the worlds number one gambling operation, surpassing Las Vegas in 2007. Macau currently has around 30 casinos, among the top five are The Sands, Wynn, Lisboa, the newly opened New Lisboa and also Venetian Casino Resort.
We took the opportunity to visit Venetian this time as we have missed it the last few trips as it was located out of town ie at the Cotai strip.
The Venetian Macau is a Renaissancce Venice - themed luxury hotel and casino resort in Macau. The Venetian Macau is modeled on its sister casino resort – The Venetian in Las Vegas – and is the largest single structure hotel building in Asia and the 3rd largest building in the world.
Another must go area in Macau is Largo do Senado, (Senado Square) which contains some of the most quintessentially Portuguese buildings in the city, such as the Leal Senado Building, the Holy House of Mercy and the impressive Ruins of St Paul's.

very nice & romantic place to visit. Hope I get to save enough to fly to Macau for holiday next year. Thanks for the lovely photos. Keep it up!
Flying Air Asia to Macau is always cheap as compared to HK or Shenzhen. You can spend 2 days in Macau then cross over to HK by ferry for another 2-3 days.
Thanks for the info.
